Job Responsibilities:
Assists in the preparation and implementation of developmentally appropriate program activities for a group of children, adhering to the principles of child development.
Assists in maintaining and ensuring all daily, monthly and yearly classroom job duties and routines are completed and meeting compliance of the DHS and Keystone STARS programs.
Prepares and maintains a safe classroom environment and provides supervision of the classroom in conjunction with and in the absence of the teacher.
Shares in the personal care routines of children.
Administers first aid and medications as needed, according to the required policies and guidelines.
Assists with appropriate reports and record keeping in the classroom.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with children, families and staff to include respect for culture, diversity and ethnicity.
Maintains effective, positive communication with children, families and staff.
Maintain and improve professional development competency through participation in work-shops, seminars, online training’s and in-service activities.
Maintain satisfactory attendance.
Performs other responsibilities as requested by the teacher or the Director of Early Childhood and Youth Programs.
