Job Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities
-Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-being
-Create a warm, positive, and welcoming classroom environment
-Implement daily lesson plans and age-appropriate activities
-Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
-Maintain classroom routines and smooth transitions throughout the day
-Encourage positive behavior and use appropriate guidance techniques
-Communicate professionally with parents and guardians
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of classrooms and materials
-Complete daily reports, incident reports, and required documentation
-Follow all DHS, licensing, Keystone STARS, and center policies
-Ensure proper diapering, toileting, feeding, and hygiene practices
-Conduct regular child counts and maintain active supervision
-Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development
-Maintain all required certifications, clearances, and trainings
-Report concerns regarding child health, safety, or welfare immediately
-Assist with playground supervision, meal service, and nap time routines
-Work collaboratively with co-workers and administration
-Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
-Arrive to work on time and prepared for the day
-Dress professionally according to center policy
-Be flexible and willing to assist where needed
-Serve as a positive role model for children and staff
-Help create a fun, engaging, and loving learning environment
