Early Head Start Toddler Teacher (CDA or ECE Required)

Smart From The Start Childcare in Clifton Heights is looking for a experienced assistant teacher to join our Early Head Start team. Our Early Head Start Program consists of infants and toddlers. We currently have 4 Early Head Start Classrooms, with 3 teachers per room, and 8 children per room. So if you like to work with small groups, this position might be right for you. To work in our Early Head Start Program, a candidate must have a CDA with an infant and toddler focus, or and ECE degree.

Job Responsibilities:
Successful candidates must have:

Experience working with young children
Strong communication and collaboration skills
The ability to and interact with children, parents and staff
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
A high level of creativity and an enthusiasm for teaching.
Bring a personal creative touch to the classroom
The ability to follow licensing requirements
The ability to follow school policies for early childhood development
Must pass all required background checks and meet all other job descriptions criteria
