Job Responsibilities:
Capable of physically performing tasks which may include, but are not limited to, lifting, carrying, supporting, and otherwise caring for children. As such, they will be in good health as certified by a physician.

Excellent oral and written communication skills; fluent in the English language
•
Must be able to observe all areas in center used by children by sight and sound for supervision and center management purposes
•
Must be able to assist during Center evacuation, which can involve navigating stairs, crossing streets, and physically assisting children
•
Work endurance ability to work an eight-hour day with a one-hour lunch break and be able to lift children (up to 50 pounds), walk, bend, stand, squat and sit on the floor (with the children), and push children in strollers
•
Must be able to travel to FELS locations and attend offsite meetings and trainings
•
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to effectively and efficiently operate office equipment (e.g., computer, copier, etc.)
•
Visual acuity of at least 20/40 (with corrected lenses if needed) to supervise children individually and in groups of 25, maintain accurate records, read curriculum materials, read storybooks to children, verify the identification of escorts
•
Ability to maintain high-level standards of confidentiality regarding the center, staff, and family matters
•
Capable of working independently toward clearly stated goals
•
Ability to manage multiple tasks, make decisions, meet deadlines and work under pressure
•
Ability to work effectively with other professionals, mentor to and developer of people
•
Knowledge of child development and group dynamics with young children
•
Knowledge and understanding of DHS, NAEYC & Keystone Stars licensing/accreditation/requirements
