Job Responsibilities:
•Set an exceptional standard for the education of children and staff.
•Provide a nurturing and stimulating school environment to facilitate children’s growth, exploration, and participation.
•Direct, oversee and ensure the staffing levels, protocols, and guidelines including safety, security, and compliance to ensure the center operates in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
•Ensure all licensing requirements are met and adhered to by all staff engaged in the center’s daily activities.
•Lead with a firm but fair disciplinary style using a balance of empathy and compassion that results in a student first mindset.
•Establish and meet program goals while being responsive to the fiscal stewardship of the organization.
•Partner with parents to create an individualized plan to maximize their child’s educational experience.
•Support teachers in translating the curriculum into thoughtful lesson plans that include individual, small group and large group learning experiences and methods that cater to the needs of the individual child.
•Manage the center's finances by establishing budgets, settling accounts, preparing tuition, billing, and collecting payments and fees from ELRC funding, Medicaid billing, and private pay families.
•Ensure compliance standards are met and exceeded at all times, including child clearances, mandated reporting requirements, safety standards, food safety requirements, etc., as required to properly conduct business in the center
•Ensure teacher performance evaluations are conducted quarterly
•Plan professional development experiences that grow the expertise of staff
•Conduct frequent staff meetings to ensure workplace cohesiveness and to address and resolve challenges
•Apply effective project management tools and techniques to ensure workflows and processes are efficient and streamlined
Physical Environment:
This job will require walking, standing, bending and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, at times.
