Position Summary
The Program Manager oversees the successful implementation of First Up’s current social emotional initiative (Pathways to Positive Connections) The Program Manager is also expected to follow First Up’s coaching model in supporting a caseload of 10 early childhood classrooms, where a strengths-based perspective and approach to coaching is utilized. Whenever possible, a mutual learning partnership is created to share responsibility and accountability for project goals. Coaching is customized and every effort is made to establish trust and respect for educators and program leaders. A variety of coaching strategies and practices is employed to achieve goals.
Primary Functions
• Supervise project staff.
• Communicate with clients or employers about project deliverables and goals.
• Develop strategies to ensure project goals are being met including delivery of direct service hours, project milestones and deliverables and continually evaluating progress to achieving those goals
•Manage deadlines and progress across the team to ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget.
•Complete accurate and timely documentation of work including visitation and tracking logs, service/action plans, data entry, program portfolio updates, and other reports using technology in an appropriate and efficient manner
•Strive for excellence in work by consistently using best practices, incorporating cultural competencies and employing relationship-based coaching and consultation practices.
•Represent First-Up at internal and external meetings and report information toother staff members as needed.

Additional Functions
•Serve as an ambassador of First Up project partners and participants througheffective communication, meeting attendance, and collaboration.
•Participate in First Up events and public policy activities.
•Market First Up services consistently within the greater ECE community andbeyond.
•Lead efforts to market First Up services consistently when in the community.
•Attend professional development to enhance abilities to serve practitioners.
•Maintain PQAS Instructor Certification
•Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions
Job requires significant flexibility. Regional travel required – must be able to get to all sites in project via personal car or public transit. Limited work time in the office but must be able to juggle multiple priorities and responsibilities. Work is partially in an office (including staffer’s home office as appropriate) environment and partially at program sites. Job includes using office machines and may require the ability to sit for long periods, stand, bend and lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to carry and perform competently on a laptop computer. Some evenings and weekends are required.
