Job Responsibilities:
Your role as a Montessori Lead Teacher:
You will create engaging lesson plans and activities aligned with The Montessori Method for your students. Each month, you will provide a newsletter stating your learning goals for the students in your classroom.
You will communicate with parents/guardians about classroom updates, events, conferences, and their child’s needs at school. We utilize the Brightwheel School Management App.
Participate in at least 10 hours (yearly) of Childcare Professional Training (provided by the school).
Supervise and prioritize the health, safety, and well being of your students during their day.
Closely monitor students during indoor and outdoor play.
Keep the classroom decorated according to AMS & Montessori standards. You will maintain your classroom's tidiness and replenish working materials based on the student's current interests.
You monitor students when using the restroom. You assist in changing diapers in infant-toddler aged classrooms.
Above all, you provide a wholesome, exceptional education experience for our students.
Job Requirements:
- A Montessori Certification or experience in Montessori Education is required. Candidates who are not Montessori certified should be willing to enroll in a Montessori Certification Program.
- At least 4 years teaching experience is preferred.
- Must be able to work between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm
- Must be able to provide an FBI Fingerprint Clearance and able to pass security clearances for working with children.
- Ability to work well with other adults and children.
