The Site Manager will range in responsibilities to include but not be limited to operational and administrative duties, instructional duties (as needed), communicating with parents and other community stakeholders, grant and certification compliance duties, communicating/coordinating with content area managers and supervisors, etc.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Remains up-to-date on information that pertains to the needs of the children in the program including Head Start Performance Standards, PA Pre-K Counts regulations and guidance, PA DHS childcare certification regulations and other applicable regulations and practices. Ensures compliance with these standards.
2. Implements Keystone STARS requirements, managing participation in the STARS system for the center.
3. Facilitates DHS childcare certification application and renewal processes.
4. Attends training and participates in professional development experiences as determined appropriate.
5. Participates in and supports family engagement activities, including PCC childcare and activity development and implementation.
6. Responsible for supporting and assisting with respectful inclusion of children with all special needs into the classroom community.
7. Working with other staff, coordinates and monitors screening, observation, assessment and special services provision to children as required to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
8. Meets with families, other content area staff, and community agencies as requested.
9. Participates in home visits and parent conferences as requested.
10. Approves payroll for center staff; facilitates communication related to timeclock variances with supervisors as appropriate.
11. Accepts and processes childcare payments.
12. Assures compliance with appropriate personnel policies, and facilitates completion of Worker’s Compensation and LCCAP Critical Incident forms.
13. Is familiar with and utilizes multiple databases to manage information related to center operation and service provision.
14. Conducts and participates in regular staff meetings and trainings. Contributes to ongoing training and professional development processes for each center employee.
15. Conduct formal and informal observations of staff members in the performance of their duties, and provides constructive feedback for each employee. Completes staff performance appraisals at set intervals, or more frequently, if needed.
16. Maintains strict confidentiality with respect to children, families and staff in accordance with established policies and procedures.
17. Maintains a commitment to professionalism and continues own professional development so that decisions are based on knowledge of early childhood, family engagement, and health/safety theories and practice.
18. Ensures a high-quality early childhood program experience.
